We're based in New York City, and we handle story, visual development, boards, animation, and post all in house — because the people who care about the work should be the ones making it. Just a small, hands-on team that stays on a project from the first sketch through final delivery. When a job calls for more hands than we've got, we bring in collaborators we've vetted ourselves — people we already trust, not names off a list.

CRASHOUT was founded in 2026 by two artists who came at animation from opposite directions: one from the scrappy independent world, one from inside network television. Both of us kept running into the same wall. Get handed a brief, do the art, ship it, repeat, with no real say in whether the story held up or the research was right. Eventually we crashed out at an industry that never lets artists in the room — so we built a studio that does.
